Lightweight Medical, the Glasgow-based product development company, and Onzo, the leading designer of home energy management systems, have decided to pool their resources in a single company. As a result all the Lightweight Medical team has joined Onzo and will be based at the company’s office and studio in central London.
Sigma, investing from the Sigma Sustainable Energy Fund II and SSE have each invested £1 million. In addition, SSE has placed initial orders worth over £7 million with Onzo for the company’s energy display products and specialist data services. As part of this major order, SSE has secured exclusive rights to Onzo’s products and services covering the UK and Ireland.
ELEMENT ZERO_SIX added another trophy to the cabinet, when their Ambulance Child Restraint (ACR) was recognised with an Honourable Mention at this year’s red dot design awards – ‘the Oscars of the design world’.
